bachelour of ecology and anthropology. happier in the field than the lab and happier in the lab than in the office. currently studying salamanders generally found backpacking, skiing, scrambling, reading, dancing, or talking too much about things that i know less about than you might think. if this fails i'm moving in with the monkeys.
I know I don’t have money to spend right now but I’ve outgrown my Black Magics and am in need of new skis for next season. It’s time for something longer, stiffer and rockered. And thanks to my plan to get a student’s pass at Whistler next year it’s also time for something a good bit fatter.
Now as to whether I’m better suited to the Caylors or the Billy Goats I can’t really decide. The Billy Goats have the waist of 116 which is at the wide end of what I’m looking for and 176 sounds like a better length than 171. However their stiffness scares me. I don’t ski like a girl (most of the time) but there is only so much you can do at 125lbs and 5’4. Unless I beast myself back into the shape I was in at the end of grade 9 I feel like these skis could take me for a ride.
On the other hand, I know that the Caylors in the 171 are a good bit softer. But they are also a little wider and more powder-oriented than I would like. While I’m confident I would be able to ski them I don’t quite feel like I can justify something 120 underfoot.
Also been looking at Moment’s lineup, Jaguar Sharks might fit the bill but there is less info on them.
